Book Review: Everest by S.L. Scott

Goodreads Synopsis:

Six foot three. Dynamic green eyes. Utterly irresistible.
Ethan Everest stole my breath the first time I saw him. He romanced me with skill, dazzled me with his charisma, and proceeded to steal my heart right after.
I might have fallen for his easy-going smile the first time we met, but I fell for him the second time.
Honey-colored hair. Cherry-kissed lips. Captivatingly gorgeous.
Singer Davis was the first, and only, woman to ever intimidate me. She spoke to my heart with her wit, seduced me with her eyes, and became the only thing that made sense in a world that made none.
I let her slip through my fingers once. I won’t make that mistake twice.
Secrets broke us apart. Can a second chance bring us back together?

From New York Times Bestselling Author, S.L. Scott, comes a ROMANTIC SUSPENSE STANDALONE that will have you on the edge of your seat and swooning over this new ALPHA BILLIONAIRE.

Chick and Brain Rating 5 out of 5

Yet again another home run for me with S.L. Scott. To say I am fan is an understatement, her words and characters seem to leap of the pages and grip right at my heart-strings from the very beginning of each and every story. Everest was no different. Everest does however did catch me a little off guard, this is not the romance that I have come to love Scott for, but in all honesty it turned out to be so much more.

This story is centered around Everest, a billionaire playboy who cannot trust anyone but so desperately wants to find someone to be himself with. Then we have Singer, the straight shooter who never has anything to hide. She calls it like she sees it and is very proud of where she is in life, pretty much the exact opposite of Everest. This is probably what has attracted them to each other in the first place. However as in all amazing stories, something must come along to ruin everything.

Everest has enemies, and they come to destroy everything that he holds dear. I know that sounds very mobster doesn’t it? Well never fear, Scott does and amazing job keep us hanging until the end of this one and I for one had no idea this was coming! I honestly do not know how to give you a hit without spoiling everything. In reality, as are all of Scott’s books, this is a must read emotion roller coaster that will leave you begging for more by the time you reach the last page. Definitely a must read!
