Goodreads Synopsis:

This tight end is at the top of his game.
He’s good with his hands, even better with his sexy mouth, and the best at making me forget my own name. His—ahem—stats are perfect.
But I can’t fall for him.
He might be everything I want, all rolled into a glorious package of gridiron god, but there’s one teeny-tiny problem. The vile, loathsome team I’ve spent my entire life hating—my beloved school’s arch-rival?
This guy is their star player

Chick and Brain Rating 4 out of 5 stars

Talk about a Rivalry! Nikki Sloane takes the rivalry to a whole new level with her latest release. This for sure is not your typical sport romance. Although it does have some football references, you do not have to know the sport to get through it. It is full of hilarious and even heart filled moments that will keep you invested from the very first word.

Kayla is a born and breed Ohio State cheerleader. She is the captain of the team and was even born on the bleachers because her mom refused to leave before the game was over. Her entire family, herself included, take their rivalry with Michigan very seriously. So what to her surprise when she discovers she has inadvertently fallen head over heels for the amazingly talented tight end of her nemesis football team, Jay Harris. Will she be able to look beyond the blue and gold uniform and see the man she initial became attracted too or with she bleed red from a broken heart?

Jay Is the tights end of Michigan football team. He is one of the stars of the team, which means he has girls falling at his feet, but what he want is a woman who wants Jay not #88 Michigan Footballs tight end. So when he met Kayla and she had absolutely no idea who he was, he was not only excited but instantly want her more than ever. However when she lost it about the rivalry between their two school he was more determined than ever to get his girl.

This is a new type of read for me from Nikki Sloane. It was hilarious and kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. Being an avid football fan myself I know a thing about rivalries, lets just say football season is not a pleasant time in my house, so I understand where Kayla is coming from. The portrayal of their relationship is an emotional roller coaster that is believable and captivating. I couldn’t put this book down. Definitely a must read!
