Author Spotlight: Casey L. Bond

Hey everyone! Today I am lucky enough to be able to do an author spotlight on Casey L. bond the author of Riches to Rags!

So without further delay meet Casey!

Were you good at English? Yes, not that I don’t make typos or use an editor. Every writer needs someone else to look at their work.

What are you working on at the minute? I just finished my next fairy tale retelling (based on Sleeping Beauty) and am working on a fae fantasy novel.

Why do you write? I love it! I think about the characters and worlds until I can’t help but write their stories.

Do you write every day, 5 days a week or as and when? I write on weekdays and take weekends off.

Do you write on a typewriter, computer, dictate or longhand? I use a laptop.

What is the hardest thing about writing? Having enough time! I have so much in my head that I need to write and not enough time.

What was the hardest thing about writing your latest book? Making sure I’m consistent. Sometimes small details are the hardest to remember! LOL!

What are your thoughts on writing a book series. I love series, because it gives a chance to build a large world and characters I don’t want to let go of. Of course, it depends on genre.

For your own reading, do you prefer ebooks or traditional paper/hard back books? I usually read e-books and buy paper/hardbacks for my shelves. LOL.

What book/s are you reading at present? I’m reading Rue Volley’s 13 Ways to Midnight

Do you think that the cover plays an important part in the buying process? Yes. It’s the first thing a customer sees. It’s one of the most important factors in whether they choose to even look at the book description.

What are your thoughts on good/bad reviews? I love them all and learn from both.

What is your favourite motivational phrase. Hard work pays off.

What is your favourite book and why? My favorite series at A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas and Amy Bartol’s Premonition series. I love Roar by Cora Carmack, too!

What advice would you give to aspiring writers? Work hard. Someone told me to keep my head down and write. Stop comparing yourself to other authors.

Is there anything else you would like to add that I haven’t included? Thank you for the interview and for posting about Riches to Rags! I appreciate it so much! ❤
