his meme is hosted by Sam over at Taking on a World of Words. All you have to do is answer the following three questions in a post and then put a link to that post in the Comments over at Taking on a World of Words.
The questions are:
1. What are you currently reading?
2. What did you recently finish reading?
3. What do you think you’ll read next?
I have the awesome pleasure of going to meet Jenny Han with some fellow Bookstagramers at Third Place Books in Seattle on Thursday. Now I can not meet the author without having read her books. So I am trying to work my way through these two beauties. I do not think I am going to be able to finish “P.S I Still Love You” before meeting her on Thursday but I sure am going to try. Wish me luck!
Well I have been quiet busy reading the past couple of days. You can check out my review for this beauty that I posted today! I finished it on Tuesday. I also just recently finished “Poppy (A Force of Nature FairyTale #1) so you should be seeing my review for that coming up tomorrow if not later today depending on when I have time to get it written. I am on a novella kick at the moment so I have about 3 or 4 queued up on my kindle for when I am waiting in the carpool line to pick up my tiny humans from school or all the other fun times I am waiting for them to do something. Depending on how quickly I finish up reading the two Jenny Han books you may see some more novella reviews before the end of the week.
What to read next?
Well that part is easy! If I was not already deep into my read of the Jenny Han books I would have jumped on this puppy as soon as it got her this morning! I LOVE Sherrilyn Kenyon! She is one of my favorite authors of all time and I swear that she wrote this book just for me lol. I can not wait to dive into. So keep and eye out for my review of this puppy coming either later this week or early next. Just in case you have been living under a rock and know nothing about this book here a great synopsis:
Hell On Earth
When the Chthonians brought the primal gods to a truce at the end of their great war, part of the pact they forged was that the worst of the evil the gods had unleashed against each other and mankind would be forever banished.
But forever is a long time. And nothing can contain those determined to find a way back.
To catch evil, it takes evil . . .
While Thorn is able to contain the demons unleashed on the ground, the ones who prey on the innocent sailors and sea faring travelers are beyond his reach.
For the sake of humanity, he makes a shaky alliance with an old foe, Marcelina. In the form of the ship they sail upon, she assembles a team under the command of Captain Devlyn Nathaniel Bane, one of the most notorious and bloodthirsty pirates to ever sail the high seas.
Damned and murdered by his own, Bane is out for revenge. With his own secret agenda, he agrees to take charge of the motley crew of pirates and brigands, and to protect the seas from the preternatural terrors that seek to devour every unwary soul they can take.
Theirs is a sacred and deadly task, as they are hunted by their prey and human authorities alike. If they fail, the world will fall to the ancient gods of chaos, and anarchy will reign. Most of all, the Southern gate, where the greatest, most powerful darkness is imprisoned, will be opened and there will be no stopping it.
It’s yo ho ho and a bottle of high seas stakes where the souls of all humanity are the ultimate prize and bargaining chip.
Until next time,
